Jessie's New York Summer

Jess is having a great summer living in NYC and working for Goldman, here's a list of some of her favorite things!

- The 2 minute commute to work (2 blocks down the street)
- Going for runs on the Brooklyn Bridge or around Battery Park City
- Trying to hail a cab but having a stretch limo offers its services instead - and for only $15
- Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery
- Movie nights in Bryant Park
- Eating out at various cool/yummy restaurants
- Spending Sunday afternoons in Central Park
- Seeing some great up and coming bands/comedians
- Visiting museums for free thanks to her Goldman Sachs ID
- Sailing lessons (soon to come!)

A few not so favorite things, but memorable none the least

- Having a mouse scamper across her feet in the subway
- Being chased down the street by a 200 + pound drunk man
- Realizing that eating out in NYC isn't exactly the same bang for your buck you would get in Provo
- Sitting in a cubicle day in and day out - watching my tan slowly fade away
- Developing a hatred for income tax and social security (it's pay day today)

Check out Mom's new car...

She bought a 2007 Lexus "Bubble" car and as she says....It's all hers. She signed the paperwork and everything. Sounds like she got a good deal too!

It's Official

Sayonara to 18 Chestnut Place. The Smith's have officially relocated to Utah, for now. Kim and Jules will be driving into the Great Salt Lake Valley sometime later today after an uneventful drive cross country eating lots of fast food...

Lessons they learned cross country:
1) Don't let Jules drive in a rain storm
2) Don't order a Blizzard with fake brownies in it
3) Applebees is everywhere
4) Don't expect room service after 8:30pm
5) When they tell you a hotel has wireless, be very skeptical. It only works 20% of the time.
6) Pride & Prejudice is just as good on audio books, so are the scriptures
7) When Dad gets bored he can text like a mad man (just ask Scotter)
8) Towns in the midwest close down on Sundays
9) Driving to UT doesn't take nearly as long as we thought
10) Despite being together almost thirty years, Kim & Jules still can have a blast together on a road trip
